long as it has gears, it rocks. very cute. i know someone who uses one like this all over town. no gas! i have an ooooold such bike that weighs probably twice as much as the mercury (let's call it the "pb lead," and as it has only one, tortuous gear, i've never felt inspired to restore it to shiny wonderousness. happy riding!
