Sometimes I do stupid things.
Like last night when I inadvertently missed the Damien Rice concert.
My tragic tale began when my friend and I decided that we weren't in the mood for an opening act. The concert started at 7:30 so we figured we had an hour to kill until he'd be on. So, we killed an hour then headed to the show. When we headed in the door the lady cleaning said "Holy crap" and then reminded us the show started at 7:30. Yeah cool we know duh. When we walked into the theater everyone was in a trance. It was dark and everyone was silent while he played. At the end of the song the whole place erupted. We looked at each other and she asked, "You think they clap like that at the end of every song?" The guy next to us informed us that this was the encore. We'd missed the entire thing.

ugh...so sorry. because, um, it was incredible. but BUT....the uptown's website was wrong. it said the concert started at 8. i know the tickets said 7:30, but things can change since ticket printing time, right? so anyway, i could have missed most of it, too.
oh my...so sorry! yes. it was amazing...don't even mind being raped by ticketmaster this morning. it was that good. my friends did the same thing...texted me at 8pm and said they were just leaving the house....at least you caught a little bit?

I damn near did the same thing. Got there in what would typically be plenty of time...what the hell?? Ended up standing in the very back, very top, where it was 200 degrees.
He's amazing, and the show was very good, but I think he's a total dick for not having Lisa Hannigan on the tour.
