Arizona's? On second thought ... NO! Not Arizona's.
The food sitch in Shawnee is pretty dismal, Pom. Unless you absolutely love chains.
Which, I'm not positively sure whether Paulo & Bill's is. But it's pretty, and has decent Italian food if you're into that. It's on Midland Dr. near Renner (along with the Barley's & Jose Peppers chaingangs). The Hereford House is coming in right down the road, next to Courtyard by Marriott.
last night we ate at old shawnee pizza and it was pretty damn good. we'll go back. i guess i'm just not at all aware of like 95th or 119th or whatever the main streets are. it seems like ppl are always talking about some random, delicious hole-in-the-wall places and they'll say oh it's out off 95th or..whatev.
For pizza, try Stonewall Inn on Pflumm at 103rd Street. There's a Minsky's on Renner, but it's not as good as the Midtown one. Panzon's on 87th at Lackman has good Ameri-Mexican. Paulo & Bill's isn't a chain, in fact it's locally owned, and has a very good Sunday brunch buffet. India Palace and Thai Place (both on 87th Street in old O.P.) have good food.
